A man has two options in a relationship: Either stand up and be the man she needs or sit down, so she can see the man behind him.
We mistake sex for romance. Guys are taught that pushing a girl up against a wall is romance. Sex is easy; you can do it with anyone, yourself, with batteries. Romance is when someone you like walks into a room and they take your breath away. Romance is when two people are dancing and they fit together perfectly. Romance is when two people are walking next to each other and all of a sudden they find themselves holding hands, and they don’t know how that happened.
And how do you tell someone they should have been with you? How do you tell them that you could love them better than anyone else ever could? How do you make them understand the ache you feel deep down in your gut that never seems to go away? How do you make them understand that they were everything you ever wanted but nothing you could never have?
